Moddy for Business

Build your own sports prediction models.

No code and no data science team required. If you have one, they’ll move faster.

Already have a data science team?

Labs makes them faster. The data, training, calibration, live predictions, and grading are already built, so your data scientists spend their time on ideas instead of pipelines. What they build goes live in your product.
Build it yourself
17 steps, including a loop that never ends
Hire a data science team
Ongoing cost: three salaries
3 roles
  • Data scientists to design the models
  • Data engineers to build the pipelines
  • ML engineers to deploy and run them
Build the data foundation
Ongoing cost: data licensing contracts
4 steps
  • License historical data
  • Wire up live odds feeds
  • Collect game results
  • Clean, join, and rebuild history as of each game
↻ Repeats until something works
Run the experiment loop
Ongoing cost: compute for every training run
6 steps
  • Assemble training data
  • Engineer features, check correlation and multicollinearity
  • Tune hyperparameters
  • Run a full training
  • Evaluate and backtest
  • Calibrate
↻ Every hour, forever
Keep it running
Ongoing cost: infrastructure, 24/7
6 chores
  • Build pick grading and settlement
  • Run predictions hourly, 24/7
  • Capture point-in-time data
  • Grade picks and tally performance
  • Write the analysis for your users
  • Monitor for drift and refresh
↻ Then rebuild it all for every new model

What Labs does

  1. 1

    Describe your idea

Describe an angle in plain English. Lab Partner, Moddy’s AI assistant, turns it into model inputs and suggests stats you hadn’t considered. You decide what goes in.

  2. 2

    Train, test, calibrate

Every model is trained and tested against the market before it can be published, and calibrated where there’s enough data.

  3. 3

    Run it live

Published models predict every game they cover, and feed the picks and written analysis in your product.

  4. 4

    Measure it

Every model is graded on live results, the same way we grade ours.

Several Labs, one account

A Lab is a private workspace where your team builds and runs its models. Every person gets a seat, and your Admins decide who’s in.

Moddy can build it for you

Our team can build models to your spec inside your Lab, so you can start producing before your team has built a thing.

Your models, graded live.

ROI, closing-line value, and calibration on every settled pick, the same way we grade ours. Never backtests.

A note on outside models

Moddy works with models built on Moddy. We don't import predictions from outside systems. If you have in-house models today, your team can rebuild those ideas in Labs, where they're trained, calibrated, and tracked on the same footing as everything else.

Start with a scoping call.

Tell us about your product and your audience. We'll come back with a proposed pilot scope.
Moddy starts at less than the data alone would cost you. We’ll quote your pilot after the scoping call.
